MTV Video Music Awards 2008 (VMA 2008)

The MTV Video Music Awards 2008 took place on 7th of September, 2008 live from Paramount Pictures Studios. Nominations for a majority of
categories were announced on the MTV program. And the remaining professional categories were chosen by a panel of music industry
professionals.
The show was opened by Britney Spears in a pre-taped cameo featuring Jonah Hill. In the cameo, Spears is getting ready to open the show,
Jonah enters and tries to relax her by telling her to close her eyes. When she closes her eyes Jonah tries to kiss her, she opens them
before he gets the chance, but once again closes her eyes for Jonah to try once again. Once again he fails, and eventually becomes
frustrated and leaves. Afterwards, Spears is shown leaving her dressing room and walking up to the VMA stage and opening the show. A few
minor slip-ups occur as Spears is opening the show; she says the word 'anniversity' instead of 'anniversary', and she holds the microphone
directly covering her face.
